Our wines

Most Mission Estate wines are crafted and bottled on‑site at our historic Taradale winery. Our ranges include approachable entry‑level wines, the sustainability‑led The Gaia Project range, and premium releases such as Jewelstone and Huchet.

Our Vineyards

Hawke’s Bay is New Zealand’s oldest wine region and one of the world’s 12 Great Wine Capitals. With a warm, dry climate and varied soils, it’s ideal for premium wine. Mission Estate planted vines here in the 1850s and now grows Chardonnay, Syrah, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon in Taradale and the Gimblett Gravels.

In Marlborough’s Awatere Valley, our Cable Station Vineyard produces vibrant Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Gris. Coastal breezes, stony soils, and cool nights create fresh, mineral-driven wines. We also work with local growers who share our pproach to vineyard management.

New Zealand wine scene

New Zealand’s global reputation for premium wine stems from its temperate maritime climate, free-draining soils, and long growing season. Warm days and cool nights enhance ripening while preserving natural acidity, and a long harvest window allows for full flavour development and varietal expression. Across all our sites, we’re committed to sustainable winegrowing practices that protect the land for future generations while producing wines of character and integrity.
