The Mission Concert

For over 30 years, the Mission Concert has brought some of the world’s biggest artists to the lawns of Mission Estate – New Zealand’s oldest winery. With views across our home vineyard, the concert is a highlight of the Hawke’s Bay cultural calendar, drawing friends, families, and fans together enjoy unforgettable world-class performances.
The very first Mission Concert was held in 1993, headlined by Dame Kiri Te Kanawa with the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra. That landmark moment sparked a tradition that would grow to become a defining part of the region’s cultural calendar.

WE'VE HOSTED SOME BIG NAMES
From legends like Elton John, Dionne Warwick, Sting, The Beach Boys, Ray Charles, and Carole King, to memorable performances by Rod Stewart, Shirley Bassey, Michael Bublé, Phil Collins, The Dixie Chicks, and The B52s, the Mission Concert has welcomed a truly world-class lineup over the years.
The most recent concert in November 2023 saw Robbie Williams light up the stage for another sold-out crowd. While there is currently no confirmed date for the next event, Mission Estate remains committed to continuing the legacy. We know how much the concert means to our community and music lovers nationwide, and we look forward to welcoming you back when the time is right.
