The Gaia Project wines reflect our sustainability journey so far. Sourced from some of the best Hawke Bay vineyards, this delicious Rosé is made from a blend of Syrah (50%) grown on the Gimblett Gravels, and Pinot Gris (50%) grown on our estate vineyard in Taradale. Expressive and vibrant, it is bursting with fresh summer berryfruits; strawberry and red currants are beautifully balanced with an abundance of juicy stonefruit, floral notes and a soft texture. Tasting Notes
2024 Gaia Rose
The colour is pale pink. The nose is sweet and lifted with intense aromas of crushed raspberries and red stone fruit.
The palate is just off-dry, and the sweetness of the natural fruit is balanced with a mouth-watering acidity that gives the wine a juicy sensation. The phenolics are soft yet present, filling the wine out and adding length to the crushed berry flavours.

It's delicately lifted on the nose, showing crunchy apple, ripe strawberry, grapefruit, and subtle spice aromas. The palate delivers ripe berry flavours with fine texture and juicy acidity, making it refreshing and delightfully drinkable.

REGION

REGION REGION

Hawke’s Bay

Located on the east coast of the North Island, Hawke's Bay wine region is one of the warmest winegrowing regions in New Zealand. The long and warm growing season provides for excellent ripening conditions and full flavour development.

New Zealand Winegrowing

Central to the success of New Zealand as a world-renowned wine growing region is the temperate maritime climate and the free-draining alluvial soils.

The growing season is long, providing perfect conditions for slow ripening and full flavour development. Cool nights and warm days retain fruit acidity which lends a freshness and vibrancy, highly characteristic of New Zealand wine styles.

Soils

Gravel beds, free-draining alluvial soils and stony terraces.
